SCRAPS
'Scraps' is what it is – an assortment of visual scraps collected and photographed with the notion that there is beauty in shape, color and space even in the most unexpected areas and on the most unusual surfaces. They do not tell their stories about where they were found or what they represented. The fantasy of the artist brought them to life. It is left to the imagination of the beholder to assign them their place in mind and meaning.
"Fundsachen" sind das, was sie eben sind. Eine Reihe visueller Fundstücke, gesammelt und fotografiert mit der Erkenntnis, dass Schönheit in Form, Farbe und Raum selbst in den unvorstellbarsten Dingen und auf den verrücktesten Oberflächen zu finden ist. Die abgebildeten Dinge verraten nichts über ihren Fundort oder ihre Bedeutung. Die Fantasie der Künstlerin erweckte sie zum Leben. Es bleibt der Vorstellungskraft des Betrachters überlassen, ihnen ihren Platz im Bewusstsein und in der Welt der Fantasie zuzuweisen.
